Episode 28 – Dorothy Height: Godmother of the Civil Rights Movement

In this episode of Great Woman Theory, our hosts discuss the life of Dorothy Height, once called the godmother of the civil rights movement. Dorothy’s contributions to racial justice, especially for black women, and her dedication to bringing people together, is the stuff of legends. She’s often overlooked in history but was a pivotal member of the civil rights movement, alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who should be regarded in her own right.
