Dorothy’s contributions to racial justice, especially for black women, and her dedication to bringing people together, is the stuff of legends. She’s often overlooked in history but was a pivotal member of the civil rights movement, alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who should be regarded in her own right.
